We’re really happy to be supporting Pride this year! Our store (Florence Park) teamed up with the Sneyd Green and Hanford stores to provide £600 from the Co-op’s Local Community Fund. We are also helping to cater for volunteers, and some of our colleagues will be attending Pride too.

The Co-op is proud to be an LGBTQ+ inclusive employer – we even have our own colleague network, Respect, which is for LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies. The network has recently hosted several events for Pride month in the Co-op talking about the past, present and future of the LGBTQ+ community.

Our current national charity partner is Mind, and through raising money for them, we are proud to be helping to support Rainbow Mind. This is an LGBTQ+ mental health service, working in East London and Greater Manchester.

When Co-op Members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent is shared equally between the Local Community Fund for local causes and a new Community Partnerships Fund, intended to support communities through like-minded national charities and organisations.

If you would like to learn more or become a member, please visit www.coop.co.uk/membership or speak to a member of our team in store.
